The Future India Party (abbreviated as FIP) (Tamil: வருங்கால இந்தியா கட்சி) is an Indian political party located at the Chennai city of Tamil Nadu State in India.[2][3] The party was approved as an independent political party by the Election Commission of India,[4] the autonomous authority which administers all the electoral processes in the Republic of India. The Party was founded in 2012, formally established on 06-06-2013 and gained the official status of a political party[5][6][7] by fulfilling the provisions as per the section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.[8][9] The party represents young adults and primarily focuses to bring young educated people into the Indian politics to make social, economic, and political reformations in the nation.[10][11]

The first President of the Future India Party is Subi an Aeronautical engineer, young activist, national sportsman,[12] and possibly the youngest politician to become the leader of a political party in India, he is holding the office of the President since 2013. He is also the founder of the World Youth Organization (WYO), a non-profit organization for youth welfare and primarily concerned on youth affairs with the ideology of promoting unity and friendship.[13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21]

Indian Fishermen death sentence issue

The Future India Party expressed contempt and petitioned against the death sentence awarded to five Indian fishermen by a Sri Lankan court.[22][23] The party also protested against the death sentence demanding to revoke it unconditionally.[24][25] “The death sentence awarded to the fishermen, who have been framed, has hurt the Indian fishermen.” said T. Subi, president of the Party.[26] Following the events the five Indian fishermen were released and returned to India on 20, Nov 2014.[27]

Financial & Transparency

In India, political parties submit their financial reports annually to the Election Commission[28][29] to become transparent and the reports will be verified and published by the Commission.[30] As per the guidelines political parties should submit three separate reports to ECI annually, they are Annual audit report,[31] Contribution report[32] and Election expenditure report.[33]

During 2013 - 2014 out of 1703 political parties nationwide, only (4.1%) 69 parties submitted their contribution report while a mere (0.8%) 14 parties submitted their annual audit report.[34][35] The Future India Party is one among the mere 0.8% of political parties that submitted all the financial reports as per the transparency guidelines to the Commission.[36]
