THE ICONIC is an Sydney-based Australian, online fashion retailer. The company was launched in 2011 under ecommerce incubator Rocket Internet, and is one of Australia’s largest online fashion retailers,[1] creating a growing home-based fashion community.[2] Since its launch date, the brand has become an Australian online fashion retailer which stocks around 500 brands,[3] including Australian labels by Johnny, sass & bide, and Camilla and Marc. International brands stocked include J Brand, Nike, Levi’s, G-Star RAW, and Adidas, with UK high street brands, River Island, Dorothy Perkins and New Look. THE ICONIC has its warehouse in Sydney.[4]

History

THE ICONIC was launched by co-founders Adam Jacobs, Finn Hänsel, Andreas Otto, Cameron Votan and Ryan Tuohy.[5] Today Adam Jacobs remains as Managing Director, and Patrick Schmidt joined in October 2013 as CEO.[6]

Features

THE ICONIC provides customers with a 3-hour delivery service to both Sydney and Melbourne metro areas.[7] Additionally, the site has its own blog[8] and magazine.[9]
