Thomas Smith (priest)

Thomas Smith, LLD was the second Dean of Carlisle.[1]
Smith was presented by the King on 1 January 1548, knighted in October of that year but deprived, with all other married priests by 1 May 1554. He was restored to the deanery on 3 September 1559, asserted his right to it on 9 September 1560, and served until 1577.[2]
