Jake Atlas, also known by his moniker Thriftworks, is an American electronic music artist and record producer. Growing up in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Atlas started making music at the age of sixteen. He later moved to California,[1] and began blending genres of electronic music such as electro and dubstep with hip hop.[2] In 2014 East Bay Express called Thriftworks a "very strange, highly entertaining, and sonically creative force."[1] Based in Berkeley, California, he tours frequently, and has performed at festivals such as Electric Forest Festival, Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Counterpoint, Wakarusa and Gem and Jam. He has also toured with Bassnectar and STS9.
