Guirlain Désiré Wato Kuaté (born 19 September 1995) is a Cameroonian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Asteras Tripoli in the Superleague Greece.
Career
The man without a country of birth, of uncertain origin and hazy past this (and much more) is Wato Kuaté, one of the many shady characters from the Portuguese passport. Born, however, is Cameroonian: grown in Africa and noted in the academy of Cameroon by the talent scout of some English clubs, he is soon convinced to take off most of his life, one to Europe. And 'in fact came the call of Manchester City. Kuaté shows interesting twists and grows quickly in Manchester, where through thick and thin stands out from the other clubs in youth tournaments. So much so that, driven by his attorney chooses to leave the City for groped an adventure of life in their Super Lig.[3] On 8 March 2014, Kuaté made his professional debut with Akhisar in a 2013–14 Süper Lig match against Galatasaray.[4]
In Akhisar started well, under the watchful eye of one who knows how to do with young people: Hamza Hamzaoglu. However, with the new season come other problems for the Cameroonian passport Portuguese: a dispute with Technical Director Mustafa Reşit Akçay puts him on the edge of the club, which decided to dissolve his contract on December 8, 2014.
On 9 July 2015, Wato Kuaté signed a four years' contract with Greek Super League side Asteras Tripoli for an undisclosed fee. During his first year in Asteras, he played with the U-21 squad until January, when it was decided it would be better for him to play for Football League club Trikala F.C. for six months, before returning to Asteras.
