María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona (born November 8, 1997), known professionally as Young Miko, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer-songwriter and former footballer.[8] She released her debut EP, Trap Kitty in 2022 featuring Latin trap tracks.
Contents
Early life
Ramírez was born in Añasco, Puerto Rico.[9] She first began writing poems while attending a Catholic school in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.[9]
Career
In 2018, she started rapping her lyrics to beats she downloaded from YouTube.[9] Ramírez uploaded these initial songs to SoundCloud under the name Young Miko.[9][10] Her first song was "Quiero".[10] Meanwhile, she worked as a tattoo artist for 4 years to pay bills and music studio costs.[9]
In 2022, Ramírez released her debut EP, Trap Kitty in 2022 featuring Latin trap tracks.[9] She incorporates her identity and interests into her music including anime, urban music, and The Powerpuff Girls.[11] On July 27, 2023, her reggaeton song, "Classy 101" charted 99 on Billboard Hot 100 marking her first appearance on the chart.[10]
Personal life
Ramírez is openly lesbian.[12]

Album
Young Miko's debut album "att." will be released on April 5th, 2024. It is her first full-length album that will include 14 songs, including three that were already released: "curita," "ID ft. Jowell y Randy" and "wiggy."[13]
