Zhou Ting (Chinese: 周挺; pinyin: Zhōu Tǐng) (born February 5, 1979) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Beijing Guoan in the Chinese Super League.
Club career
Zhou Ting would play for Dalian Wanda youth team before eventually starting his senior career with Yunnan Hongta in 2000 where he quickly established himself within the team playing in 24 games within his debut season.[2] He would stay with Yunnan Hongta until the 2003 season where he transferred to Qingdao Jonoon and Shenzhen Shangqingyin before settling with Beijing Guoan in 2006 where he has established himself as a regular team member. After several seasons, he would go on to aid Beijing in winning the 2009 Chinese Super League title.
International career
Due to his versatility to play on either flanks, Zhou Ting was called up to the senior national team in a friendly against Chile on August 20, 2003 in a 0-0 draw.[3] Under the Chinese head coach Arie Haan, Zhou Ting would become a regular member within the team and would be included in the squads that participated in the 2003 East Asian Football Championship, FIFA World Cup qualification and the squad that came runners-up in the 2004 AFC Asian Cup.
