The 1900 Virginia Cavaliers football team represented the University of Virginia in the 1900 college football season. Led by second year coach Archie Hoxton, the team went 7–2–1 and claims a Southern championship.[1] The team was captained by tackle John Loyd.[2][3] The Cavaliers defeated Sewanee 17 to 5 to give the school its first loss since 1897.[4]
