Barley bread is a type of bread made from barley flour derived from the grain of the barley plant. In the British Isles[1] it is a bread which dates back to the Iron Age.[2] Barley flour may not be as commonly used singly for baking as it once was, but it can be found at health food stores and speciality baking stores, and it is commonly blended (in a smaller proportion) with wheat to make conventional bread-making flour.

Loaves made of barley feature in the story of the feeding of the 5000 in John's Gospel in the New Testament (John 6:9).
