Sondra Currie (born Sandra Marie Currie; January 11, 1947) is an American actress.[3]

Currie is the daughter of Donald Currie and former actress Marie Harmon, who made several movies in the 1940s [4] and the older sister of the twin singers/actresses Cherie Currie and Marie Currie. She began her acting career in several B movies and appeared in 1970's Rio Lobo, in an uncredited role. Unfortunately, most of her scenes ended up on the cutting board.[5]

She got her first major role as Lacy Bond in the 1974 exploitation film Policewomen. It was on the set of this film that she met her future husband Tony Young, to whom she was married until 1986. In the late-1970s, she met Alan J. Levi while auditioning for a movie. They married in 1989. They have a production company called Lumina Pictures and Entertainment LTD which has produced several plays including 1987's The Chesterfield Woman.[citation needed]

Affiliations

Currie is a member of Women in Film, Women in Theatre, Environmental Media Association, and a Lifetime member of the Actors Studio.[citation needed] One of her most rewarding endeavors is being a member of SHARE.[6]
