History

Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The station was branded as 95.1 The Beat until March 14, 2007 with a rhythmic contemporary format.

On July 22, 2011, the station changed its call letters to WFKS,[1] after those calls were dropped by sister station WKSL in Jacksonville earlier in the month upon that station's rebranding as "Radio NOW".

However, in November 1, 2013, it is not looking forward to changing the call letters from WFKS as WKSL in Jacksonville, FL rebranded again back to 97.9 Kiss-FM and will not change its call letters. Instead on July 31, 2014, it changed its call letters to WKSL, which originally was from sister station, now called, WNCB, which used to be a Kiss-FM station.
